Signing shouldn’t need a workaround.

The eSemnBun mobile app lets you sign documents directly on iPhone, iPad and Android using your electronic ID and a compatible USB reader.

A normal macOS installation

Download the signed, notarized DMG and move the app to Applications. No commands to bypass Gatekeeper or disable security checks.

A signature away from your desk

Connect a compatible reader to your phone with a suitable adapter. Choose a document, enter your card PIN and share the signed file.

A small, native tool

Choose your card, add files and sign. Verify a document or use supported government websites. The source is available under the MIT license.

Your key stays on the card.

The app prepares the document. Your card creates the signature after you authorize it with your PIN. Timestamping and certificate checks use public trust services.

How your data is handled

Electronic signatures with Moldova’s identity card

Use eSemnBun to sign PDF documents, create XAdES signatures, and verify signed files with a compatible electronic identity card and USB reader. The same card can be used at your desk or on your phone.

Is eSemnBun the official MoldSign app?

No. eSemnBun is an independent project by Nicolae Ghimbovschi. It provides a native alternative to the MoldSign desktop workflow and supports compatible MSign website requests. It is not affiliated with STISC.

Can I sign with my identity card on a phone?

Yes, using the iPhone, iPad or Android app with a compatible USB reader and the appropriate adapter. You need an active signing certificate and the correct card PIN. NFC is not supported.

Is this the same as a mobile SIM signature?

No. eSemnBun uses the signing key on a supported electronic identity card. It does not issue certificates, activate a card or replace a mobile operator’s SIM signing service.
